Moving From Argument To Agreement with God
Welcome to Day 6 of our meditation journey! Today, we delve into a transformative principle: shifting from arguing with God’s Word to agreeing with it wholeheartedly. When we align ourselves with God’s truth, we unlock the power to transform our lives and deepen our relationship with Him.
Meditation as agreement.
Meditation is not a mental debate; it is a spiritual practice of agreement. When God’s Word declares a promise, our role is not to question or argue but to agree and declare, “Yes, Lord.”
Consider this: when Scripture says, “The righteous are bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1), our response should be, “I am bold as a lion.” This alignment is the key to walking in the promises of God.
Revelation fuels elevation.
Meditation allows us to elevate through revelation. The apostle Paul said he “went up by revelation” (Galatians 2:2). Revelation transforms our perspective, and agreeing with that revelation brings the power of God into our lives.
For example, when Jesus says, “Go and have dominion” (Genesis 1:28), agree with it. See yourself exercising dominion over fear, challenges, and limitations. Speak it into your life during meditation:
“I have dominion over every situation.”
“I am victorious in Christ.”
“I walk in the authority of the Word.”
Discernment with scripture.
While we agree with everything Jesus says, we learn from other biblical figures selectively, based on the extent of their revelation. For instance, Solomon’s wisdom on wealth is profound, but his perspective on relationships may not be as instructive.
This discernment allows us to meditate deeply and effectively, drawing from the best insights while aligning fully with Christ’s teachings.
Practical application.
Here’s how you can apply this principle in your meditation practice:
Identify a Scripture: Choose a verse that speaks to your current season or need.
Declare Agreement: Speak the Word aloud and affirm it over your life. For example, “I am a good man; I receive favor from the Lord” (Proverbs 12:2).
Visualize the Truth: Picture yourself living out the Word, embodying the promises of God.
Commit to the Process: Make meditation a consistent part of your daily life, allowing the Word to transform your mind and spirit.
Let’s meditate together!
The Let There Be Light Conference on September 7, 2024, is an opportunity to experience collective meditation and revelation. As we gather at Peniel, we’ll practice agreement with God’s Word on a monumental scale.
Until then, keep meditating, declaring, and agreeing with God. Remember, the power to transform your life is in your agreement with His truth.
Peace In!
