Repeating The Word
Welcome to Day 20 of our journey toward the Let There Be Light Conference! As we stand on the threshold of this historic gathering, today’s focus is on a simple yet profound practice: repeating the Word. Whether the Word is given by the Spirit, through spiritual authority, or found in Scripture, declarations made in obedience and faith carry transformative power.
Scripture as a source of power.
The Bible is more than a collection of stories; it is a living, active Word that shapes realities. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword.” When we declare Scripture, we engage with the same creative power that spoke the universe into existence.
Consider Jesus in the wilderness (Matthew 4:4-10). When confronted by the devil, He didn’t engage in lengthy arguments—He declared, “It is written.” By repeating Scripture, He demonstrated the authority and power of God’s Word.
The simplicity of repeating scripture.
During today’s session, I emphasized the power of simply repeating Scripture as a declaration. Here’s how:
Choose a Verse
Select a Scripture that speaks to your current need or desire. For example:Favor: “For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield” (Psalm 5:12).
Breakthrough: “The time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come” (Psalm 102:13).
Declare It Boldly
Speak the verse over your life with confidence. Personalize it if you’d like. For example: “The Lord surrounds me with favor as with a shield.”Repeat Consistently
The power of declarations lies in repetition. Each time you declare the Word, you align your spirit with its truth and draw it into your reality.
Understanding the Spirit in the word.
Scripture carries a divine essence that transcends human understanding. As I shared, even those outside the faith recognize the power of Psalms, often misusing them for their own purposes. How much more, then, should believers engage with Scripture in its rightful context?
When you declare, “The daughters of Tyre will bring you gifts” (Psalm 45:12), you are not merely reciting words—you are aligning with the Spirit behind the Word, activating its promises in your life.
A call to wait on the Lord.
Declarations are most powerful when birthed in the place of waiting. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that “those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.” In waiting, we receive fresh revelation, which becomes the fuel for our declarations.
Building momentum for the conference!
As we prepare for the Let There Be Light Conference, let’s practice repeating the Word. Use this week to meditate on and declare Scriptures that align with God’s promises for your life. Whether you are seeking healing, favor, or breakthrough, let His Word guide your declarations.
